Théâtre National de Strasbourg (France) has a unique place in the French performing arts landscape as the only National Theatre located outside the capital. The TNS hosts and operates one of the leading schools for stage actors, technicians, and directors in France. The TNS has a project to develop an art theatre that is both popular and demanding and fosters social inclusion by telling new narratives and includes the citizens in a creation-oriented work. They are also working on the public space by seeing how the theatre can reach communities by investing the public spaces of the city.
